Sail Routing is compatible with a wide range of sailboats, from small coastal monohulls to larger units designed for offshore cruising. The application offers generic polars suitable for monohulls ranging from 6 to 20 meters, calculated by artificial intelligence from data provided by the Offshore Racing Congress (ORC). The ORC is an international organization that provides ratings for offshore racing and has one of the most comprehensive databases on sailboat performance. To create the generic polars, Sail Routing selected only cruising boats from this database and used machine learning techniques to generate representative polars by size category.
